Increased warehouse capacity for Good 4 U

Summary

Good 4 U are a family-run health food company based in Sligo, Ireland. Since 2004, it’s been their goal to create delicious yet nutrient-packed foods and snacks that are both affordable and sustainable.

They manufacture products for all ages using a wide range of ingredients and flavours. As they expand, they hope to become one of the world’s most loved and trusted food brands.

Challenge
Good 4 U approached Lauralu because they had limited storage solutions and had an urgent need for space to accommodate their rapid product expansion. An additional warehouse was needed to increase their capacity, but they needed exceptional lead times so that there was minimal disruption to their business. Prior to partnering with Lauralu, Good 4 U had been considering a costly and time-consuming permanent build and had even gone as far as applying for planning permission, which is never a fun process!
1.
Extended contract with Tesco
2.
Slashed operating costs
3.
Reduced overheads costs

Solution

To meet Good 4 U’s warehouse requirements, Lauralu were able to offer the same building footprint as the one they had previously applied for, but for a 20 x 30 x H8 50mm rockwool insulated structure. This option provided them with substantial cost savings in comparison to a permanent brick-and-mortar build.

This created a functional space that enabled Good 4 U to carry out all of their services under one roof.

A significant advantage of this is that they no longer have to use off-site storage, which not only saves them additional costs but also improves their carbon footprint, helping to align production with their brand ideals.

Results

Good 4 U are delighted with the results, as their increased storage capacity has benefited their business, reducing their overheads and slashing operating costs. Additionally, their dramatic business growth has led to an extended contract with Tesco for the UK and Ireland, helped in many ways by their new Lauralu structure.

Our temporary, semi-permanent and permanent structures provide the perfect solution for storage and production limitations, boosting your capabilities and increasing your potential for business growth.
